Wishing you merry Christmas and happy new year 2022
Hola a todos!
First of all, apologies if you were waiting for a new recipe yesterday. I didn’t mean to disappoint you, but as I said in both Facebook and Instagram, I was planning to take a break for Christmas. I must remark that it will not only be limited to the upcoming Bank Holidays.
On the night of New Year’s day I will head off to the airport as I am travelling to Spain to visit my grandparents for 10 days. I have explained on several occasions that they live in Jaen (right in the heart of the Andalucia region) and I have not seen them in three years now. It is hard because every time I book holidays I have to choose either there or my hometown in Barcelona. Never both at the same time. Now you can tell that I am really looking forward to the day-please, Prime Minister, don’t screw it up!
What can I say about 2021? Definitively, it’s been far better than last year. I started in an exciting new role at the NHS; I have managed to socialise more despite COVID-19 is still very much with us; I finished my MA in Corporate Communications; and, on top of everything, I launched Taste of Spain. The blog makes me really happy and fulfilled because I can share my love for cooking with so many people. In terms of figures, I have passed beyond the 10,000 visitors milestone since I started back in 8th March. I am really surprised with some of the most read posts like Seafood Fideua, a dish almost unknown by many of you. I know for a fact that a few readers discovered it thanks to this blog-which is absolutely amazing.
There’s definitively room for improvement. I would love to shoot better pictures, cook more desserts and also create new content-more engaging and instructive. I am weighing a few ideas and any feedback is more than welcome.
Once again, thank you very much for your support. Have the best Christmas and we’ll catch up in 2022. In the meantime, eat a lot, enjoy your cooking and see you in the socials.
